Athirasam Ingredients:
Raw rice – 1 kg,
Jaggery – 750 gm,
Cardamom powder – 2 tsp,
clarified butter / ghee – 2 tsp,
oil – for frying
Athirasam Preparation:
Soak the rice about 1 hour and drain it make powder out of drained rice and sieve.Dissolve the jaggery in water and strain it prepare a syrup from itWhen syrup is two string consistency, pour over the rice powder and mix well without any lumps.Sprinkle cardamom powder and keep this mixture for one or two days.After 2 days, make small balls and just press by hands and then deep fry it.
