Bhatura Ingredients:
Refined flour (maida) 2½ cups Yogurt ½ cup Baking powder ½ tsp. Baking soda A pinch Sugar 2 tsps. Oil for frying 2 tbsps. Salt 1 tsp. Bhatura Preperation:
1. Take flour and add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and pass it through a sieve. 2. Mix yogurt and sugar. Add this to the flour and add about a cup of water and mix gradually to make soft dough by light kneading. 3. Add 2 tbsps. of oil into the dough and cover the dough with a wet cloth. Keep it aside for an hour. 4. Divide it into equal portions, make balls out of it. Cover and keep fermenting for ten minutes. 5. Flatten the balls. Roll into diameter diskettes. 6. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry bhaturas on high flame till light on both sides.
