Bhatura
Bhatura


Bhatura Ingredients:
Refined flour (maida)  2½ cups
Yogurt  ½ cup
Baking powder  ½ tsp.
Baking soda  A pinch
Sugar  2 tsps.
Oil for frying  2 tbsps.
Salt  1 tsp.
 
Bhatura Preperation:
1. Take flour and add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and pass it through a sieve.
2. Mix yogurt and sugar. Add this to the flour and add about a cup of water and mix gradually to make a soft dough by light kneading.
3. Add 2 tbsps. of oil into the dough and cover the dough with a wet cloth.
Keep it aside for an hour.
4. Divide it into equal portions, make balls out of it . Cover and keep to ferment for ten minutes.
5.  flatten the balls. Roll into diameter diskettes.
6. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry bhaturas on high flame till light on both sides.
