Poori Masala South indian recipe

Below is the recipe for the dish

Ingredients :

Potato - 4 medium size potatoes - Boil them in an open stove or pressure cook them and smash them well.

Onion -1 julienne
Tomato - 1
Green chillies - 2
Dried Red Chilli - 1
Curry leaves

To season :

Mustard seeds   1 tsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tap
Asafoetida  apinch
Turmeric powder

Salt to taste

Preparation :

1. In a medium sauce pan - Add 2 tsp of Extra virgin coconut oil - let the oil get heated up add the seasonings let the mustard seeds splutter.
2. Now add the onions curry leaves and green chillies , red chilly let the saute until the onions are golden brown in color. Add a pinch of salt.

3. Now add the tomatoes to the dish let the tomatoes get cooked for a couple of minutes before you add the potatos to the dish.

4. Add enough water for the gravy.

5. Let the masala cook until the potatoes and onions are cooked well. Check the salt serve with hot poori's and roti's .

6. Great with Dosa or masala Dosa.

Serves - 3 people.
